Christchurch Campus is now running its first Graphic Design Training Package. This course is designed to give students an introduction to Adobe software packages Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, as well as the design process. Students of varying backgrounds, from marketing to designers, are working on a creative project designing their own brand identity. They are learning about historical design context and are gaining an understanding of the graphic design process and methods used in industry.
Current student, Sheena Welsh says, "My motivation to come onto the Graphic Design course was to learn how to put my creative ideas and passion onto a piece of print. I knew this course would let me explore the Adobe suite and help bridge the gap between my imagination and today's technical world." The course runs over 7 weeks, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6 - 9pm. The next course starts on the 5 August 2014. The course is being taught by Peter Godkin. Peter is an experienced teacher and designer with over 20 years experience in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Check out his work!
