South Seas Film & Television School has been fuelling the film and television industry for 27 years.
Founded by Gerben Cath in 1991 using his film production studio facilities on Auckland's North Shore, our South Seas Film and Television training is grounded in intensive, practical courses.
The school has bred an army of creatives in post-production, directing, scriptwriting, art and design, animation and VFX, acting and photography.

We’ve created these introductory courses as a way to allow students to test their skills in their chosen areas. The full-time programmes are exclusive, and completing an introductory course can be an excellent way of getting your foot in the door.
Set up like a real-life Hollywood-style studio, the South Seas Film School Campus is a 40,000 square foot production complex housing every piece of specialty equipment you could need to bring your ideas to life.
