Successfully complete this course and receive the New Zealand Diploma in Digital Media and Design (Level 5).
Design Foundation
These core skills are a must for any budding designer. Get the skinny on current industry processes so you can hit the ground running once you nail a job.
Audio and Visual Production
Create a short film from go to whoa. This means everything from concepts, scripting and shooting through to audio and editing.
Animation Principles
This is where the magic really starts. Learn how to bring characters and worlds to life using 2D and 3D animation.
3D Model and Composite
Design and model 3D objects, blend them with some live footage and create some insanely cool visual effects.

Applicants need NCEA Level 3 with at least one subject in a relevant field, or examples of work demonstrating skills in animation and film production (assessed by the Multimedia Head of Faculty). Download our portfolio guidelines for this course.
Successful completion of our Level 4 Certificate in Creative Media guarantees entry into this programme. If your first language is not English, you must demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 Academic (with no band lower than 5.0).
International students must be at least 18 years old.
On successful completion of this programme, you can further develop your skills by studying the Diploma in 3D Production, Diploma in Screen Production or Diploma in Game Art and Development.
