The Diploma in Digital Media is an intensive one-year course of study designed to refine your basic animation skills and prepare you for entry into a demanding industry.
You’ll develop the knowledge you gained over the previous two years by bringing your own passion project to life in a simulated studio environment. The pace is demanding, replicating the pressures and deadlines of working life in the industry. While the course is largely self-directed and you are expected to manage your time and workload efficiently, you will also be supported by your lecturers, who are industry professionals.
Throughout the year you’ll attend industry talks and workshops to support your networking and sharpen your portfolio and presentation skills before you launch your public identity. You’ll also explore and adapt emerging crowd-funding platforms to understand how to launch your own projects as a creative entrepreneur. This is to prepare you for all eventualities and help you hit the ground running when you launch your creative career the following year!
The main focus is on producing top-quality creative projects from start to finish while maintaining synchronicity with local industry. The programme runs at an exhilarating pace and is aligned to your creative vision — we can’t wait to see what you create!
Simulating a real studio environment, assessment focuses on creative projects from script to screen. There are no examinations, but solo or team productions resulting in creative outputs are internally assessed.
