Explore how coding is used to develop games, apps and websites. These courses introduce: game development using Unity; web development using HTML and CSS; App development using Android Studio.

With the new tech options, you have the flexibility to pick and choose which classes you want to take. You can study the whole Coding Games & Apps programme and gain the maximum amount of credits, or you can choose which classes you want to take - it’s up to you!

What you'll learn

Code a Mobile App - 3 Credits (2 days)

US 29789 – Use a presentation application to produce an interactive multimedia presentation.

Learn how mobile app development works and create a simple app you can run on a phone. Includes an introduction to interface and interaction design using Android Studio.

Game Development - 6 Credits (4 days)

US 18741 – Create a computer programme to provide a solution.

Learn the basics of coding for games using the Unity game development platform. You’ll set up levels, characters and define gameplay, finishing and testing a real game. Learn the basics of coding using the C# (C sharp) programming language – used by professionals throughout the games industry.


Code a Website - 5 Credits (4 days)

US 29788 – Develop and evaluate an interactive website for organisational use.

Explore how websites are developed and learn the coding required to make a site of your own. Plan layouts using UX tools and explore how HTML and CSS can be used to create cool website graphics including interaction and parallax effects with code.
