This 3 day introductory course is designed to give students an insight into the methods and techniques taught and training practices used on the Yoobee Colleges 1 year full-time Diploma in On-Screen Acting course.

What you'll learn

Each student will have the opportunity to participate in  

  • Work in front of the camera in ad lib situations & with scripts  
  • Basic acting technique and script analysis  
  • Audition technique and commercial work

Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate confirming their participation.

Work is recorded and reviewed throughout the course, enabling students to identify their potential as actors within the Film and TV industry During the course all students are carefully assessed to evaluate their potential for further study at the school. Assessments include the ability to focus, take direction, learn and interpret lines as well as ensemble work. The course tutors will also take time to discuss and answer questions about industry careers and the content and training methods of Yoobee Colleges.

Minimum age 15 years

Once you have successfully completed this course, develop your skills with either the Diploma in On-Screen Acting or choose the New Zealand Diploma In Screen Production
