Refunds and Withdrawals

Yoobee School of Design has policies and procedures relating to refunds as required by the Education Act 1989.

Student Withdrawal

Students may withdraw from a course at any time.

Any student who has paid to attend a course of three months or longer and withdraws before the course starts, or within the first eight calendar days of the course starting, is entitled to a refund of their fees. Yoobee School of Design is entitled to retain the lesser amount of either $500 or 10% of the amount the student has paid.

For withdrawals after eight days from the course’s start date, students are not entitled to a refund unless there are extenuating circumstances. Yoobee reserves the right to provide a full or pro rata refund, at the discretion of the General Manager - Education.

NB: for students that begin after the official course start date, the eight calendar days start from the day the student actually begins the course.

Course Cancellation

Yoobee School of Design reserves the right to cancel any course. Decisions regarding cancellation of courses will generally be made at least four weeks before the course starts, except in exceptional circumstances. Any student who has paid to enrol in a programme that is cancelled either before programme commencement, or within the first eight days of the programme start date, will be entitled to a fee refund.

Recognition of prior learning

Providing opportunities for students to build upon their prior learning is important to us, and we recognise any relevant learning that a student has already gained.

Enrolment and attendance

All students who meet our course entry requirements can enrol. To gain their qualification, they must attend 80% of scheduled classes for every module in their course.

Student fee protection

All student fees paid in advance are held in a trust account managed by the Public Trust.

Yoobee School of Design respects and understands the importance of privacy and security for our online community. Any information we collect for marketing and operational purposes is used only by Yoobee School of Design and our affiliates (including, but not limited to, Academic Colleges Group Ltd. and other educational institutions in the Academic Colleges Group network).

If you supply us with your phone number or email address, we might contact you to let you know about special promotions, new products and services and exciting upcoming events. We won’t release, sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.


A cookie is a small piece of information stored on your computer. Cookies help us improve your user-experience when you use our website.

Mostly we use “session” cookies, which expire after 30 minutes of no activity; however some cookies that we use for internet statistics and remarketing last longer.
