Our nautical themed exhibition was a big success on Wednesday 12 December at BizDojo. Students studying the Diploma in Graphic Design and Diploma in Animation and Digital Video, presented excellent pieces of work created during their studies. The nautical theme tied in with the exhibition's title "Sink or Swim," as last night proved that our students will be successful in finding jobs within the industry and they will be "Swimming."
One of the main highlights was Linda Munt being awarded the "Print: Part of Life Excellence Award" that was presented by Ruth Cobb (Manager of Print NZ). Linda created a children's book titled "Clyde's Wonderful Surprise," in which the judges commented on her excellent mock-up and attention to detail.
Students from the Diploma in Animation and Digital Video created some great pieces of work including, Hayden Gifford's "Kinetic Typography" and Hira McClutchie's "Short Film." Out of the two Graphic Design programs, Linda Munt (created a children's book) and James Ransom who created a t-shirt and print design were some of the standouts as well.
