2015 has been a boomer of a year for Wellington Digital Media student Roydon Misseldine.
His start-up studio Subject Studios has been the talk of the town on a bunch of international blogs. He was the only Kiwi to be picked as a finalist for the recent Adobe Design Achievement Awards (which drew more than 2500 entries from around the world). And he scored a killer job at Strategy, Design & Advertising.
But as if all that wasn’t enough! Earlier this week Roydon was named one of The Design Kids top 16 students and graduates for 2016 – the only New Zealander to make the grade. We think this achievement is nothing short of phenomenal.
Here’s what the man himself had to say about it:
“I was surprised! I didn’t expect my work to be on par with other Melbourne Design University graduates – the level over there is at such a high standard. The prize for being in the top 16 means that our work will get sent to over 200 studios by The Design Kids themselves, so it will be interesting to see if any opportunities come of that, although I’m quite happy where I am at the moment!”
