OPNZ Celebrates First ACG Yoobee Degree Graduates

Congratulations! The first two cohorts of our Bachelor of Applied Science programme graduated last week and are now ready to launch their careers!

The eight students (six from New Zealand and two from China) were presented with their OPNZ degrees at a special graduation ceremony held at Auckland’s Vodafone Events Centre on June 2.

It was a proud moment not just for the graduates and their families, but also for ACG Yoobee degree facilitator Jessica Henry.

“It was great to see everyone graduate after a year of hard work on the degree,” she said.

“Just one year of study to gain this OPNZ qualification is a huge opportunity and I hope they will all go onto successful careers in design.”

Already one ACG Yoobee graduate has been snapped up as a graphic designer for Linen & Things, and another as a web designer for Warehouse Stationary. Others have crossed the ditch to pursue career opportunities and the two international students have returned to China.  Employment outcomes are looking extremely positive!

“It is well worth spending another year at ACG Yoobee to upgrade to a degree.  Many employers these days require applicants to have degree qualifications, so it opens up a lot more job opportunities.”
