Mini Metro, a game created by Wellington video game company Dinosaur Polo Club, has scooped one of the top awards at the recent IGF (Independent Games Festival) in San Francisco.
The game – which challenges players to design the most efficient subway networks – took out the Excellence in Audio Award, and was also nominated in three other categories (Excellence Design, Visual Art, and the Grand Prize).
Mini Metro was dreamed up by Dinosaur Polo Club’s Robert and Peter Curry, and the artwork was created by colleague Jamie Churchman, who also happens to tutor part-time at ACG Yoobee on the Diploma of Game Art and Development.
