Industry week kicks off this week at our Auckland Yoobee campus over three days, with seven events, twenty speakers covering five disciplines. Our central theme is around our students, and helping them to clarify their thinking about job seeking and the industry they plan to work in.
To help the career path discussion start, our Yoobee Auckland campus teams have created a wall, which they hope to populate with conversation cards around how students see their time on campus, what happens in between, and when they land their ‘dream’ job.
The events taking place will then activate thinking around the information presented to help generate a visual timeline for students, which will be captured and used as a tool for students when job seeking begins.
Events will include: Recruiter Panel (web/UZ); how to approach your portfolio; becoming a freelance illustrator/animator; or freelance photographer; Creative Catchups with Sam Stuchbury from Motion Sickness and Crystal Lin from Roam; Pathway workshop – meet industry guests and receive advice on careers.
