Yoobee Colleges student, Animation Honours candidate, and short courses tutor, Lauren McGregor recently shared her creative journey with The Rookies, reflecting on the making of Wabi Sabi, a 2D animated short film produced by Studio Monarch, a team of Yoobee students.
Created during their final year of the Bachelor of Animation, the project pushed the team through challenges, lessons, and creative risks. In her write-up, Lauren shares her perspective on the process, acknowledging the imperfections, but also celebrating the heart of the story and the passion behind it.
“This story is not just about art; it’s about passion itself. I’ll never be ashamed to say that I was a part of this project. After all, in a way, the imperfection was the point of it.”
