Scholarship Overview
The Yoobee Master’s Scholarship supports learners with the potential to become future industry leaders while improving access to postgraduate study for priority learners and contributing to advanced skills and innovation capability in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Rationale
The scholarship supports participation and achievement at NZQCF Level 9 and aligns with the Tertiary Education Strategy’s focus on advanced skills, leadership capability, innovation and productivity. It also supports improved access to postgraduate study for priority learner groups including Māori, Pacific, disabled learners and learners from underserved communities.
Programmes covered
Eligible programmes include Yoobee Colleges Master’s level programmes (NZQCF Level 9) aligned with leadership, management, digital, creative, technology and innovation capability. This may include programmes such as:
Masters of Management
Masters of Business Informatics
Masters of Software Engineering
Entry requirements
Applicants must:
Be a New Zealand citizen or hold a New Zealand residence class visa
Meet the academic entry requirements for an approved Yoobee Master’s programme
Meet IELTS or English language requirements where applicable
Demonstrate academic capability or relevant professional experience
Commitment to industry or community impact
Clear goals demonstrating how postgraduate study will contribute to:
leadership in their sector
workforce capability development
innovation or industry advancement.

How do I apply?
To apply for the scholarship applicants must:
Personal statement outlining career goals and leadership aspirations
Explanation of how the Master’s study will contribute to industry, community or organisational impact
Evidence of academic capability and/or professional experience
Any supporting documentation requested by Yoobee Colleges.
Academic Expectations
Recipients are expected to:
Successfully complete a Level 9 qualification
Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the programme
Demonstrate growth in management, leadership and strategic capability.
Contribute to industry capability, organisational development or community outcomes after graduation.
Additional information
Preference may be given to applicants who:
Identify as priority learners (Māori, Pacific, disabled learners or those from underserved communities)
Are the first in their family to undertake postgraduate study
Demonstrate potential to contribute to workforce capability, innovation or industry advancement in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The scholarship aligns with TEC priorities to improve participation and achievement at higher levels of the NZQCF, particularly for priority learner groups.
