Hands-on training with film & TV industry experts!
The course delivers 4-days of intensive hands-on practical training. Students will participate in shooting and recording a location production, edit this into a programme item, record photo stills video, and take part in a studio magazine programme production.
Students learn all the basic techniques of editing and field recording before going out on location to record. These location shoots are edited for programming into a more advanced studio production. During the 4-days students rotate roles and cover a wide range of integrated skills. These could include:
Vox Pops–camera and sound recording operations.
Studio video camera and sound recording operations.
Directing of location and studio productions.
Studio control room Vision Switching.
Studio production floor managing.
Post-Production editing.
Reporting, presenting and interviewing for television.
Researching and scripting links and interviews for television programmes.
Students are trained by industry‐experienced tutors and work in the Yoobee South Seas Film School extensive 4K capable television studio and production facilities. The course tutors will also take time to discuss and answer questions about industry careers and the content and training methods of South Seas.
This course is ideal for students interested in studying our industry respected Diploma in Film & TV Production (Level 6) programme, held at Yoobee South Seas Film School. Students attending this programme must be aged 17 and over to attend, adult learners are welcome to join this taster programme into the Film and TV industry.
