Light & Dark is back! Over the last 7 years, budding artists across Aotearoa have entered into Yoobee's Light & Dark character design competition. Light & Dark focuses on the art of emotion. Contestants create a character that embodies two contrasting emotions; one light emotion, and one dark emotion.
Raised in an environment that encompasses his stories and histories, Turanga Mahutonga of Yoobee College Rotorua scored himself a fully paid scholarship by bringing these stories to life through the art of animation.
"I’ve always encompassed a strong passion for streetwear design, so naturally I based my studio project around this. The variety of work includes brand logo, apparel and clothing design, POS tags, stickers, photography, posters, a lookbook, web design, video editing and dieline for a jewellery box."
