What you'll learn

Explore how artificial intelligence is shaping creative industries today. You’ll develop a foundational understanding of AI concepts, tools, and applications, including text, image, audio, and video generation. You’ll examine ethical, cultural, and sustainability considerations while building essential academic skills such as research, critical evaluation, and digital literacy. This course prepares you to engage with AI confidently and responsibly.

Learn how to use AI as a creative partner. This course focuses on applying AI tools to ideation, experimentation, and rapid prototyping. You’ll generate and refine digital assets, explore design-thinking approaches, and critically assess outputs. Key topics include copyright, intellectual property, ethics, and sustainability, ensuring your creative practice remains human-centred and future-focused.

Discover how AI can streamline and enhance creative workflows. You’ll integrate AI tools into planning, collaboration, project management, and production processes. Through hands-on projects, you’ll practise pitching ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and presenting final work that demonstrates efficient, ethical, and innovative use of AI within team-based and independent creative environments.

Translate your skills into real-world opportunities. This course supports you to identify strengths, transferable skills, and career interests within the creative industries. You’ll develop professional capabilities such as CV writing, interview preparation, and workplace communication. Entrepreneurs and freelancers will explore how AI can support sustainable business growth. By the end, you’ll have a clear, achievable plan for your next step—study, employment, or self-employment.

Ethical and responsible AI use is embedded across all four courses. As AI becomes more present in creative practice, it raises important questions around authorship, copyright, data use, bias, cultural representation, creative labour, and environmental impact.

You will learn how ethical, legal, cultural, and sustainability considerations shape the responsible use of AI in creative work, helping you make informed decisions that align with professional standards and ethical practice.
