How to pitch your creative business concept to investors or land your first client!
This 5-week course will guide you through the process of establishing the viability of your creative idea and expanding the thinking into a pitch document. Learn to think strategically, identify opportunities, and communicate the opportunity with potential investors, distributors, funding bodies or business partners.

Determining whether your business idea is a viable business project by exploring it’s purpose, demand and value proposition.
Identifying your target market and how best to reach them with an effective brand identity.

This course is ideal for recent graduates looking to develop their product or service ideas, artists and other creatives seeking to research their product/service market fit and how to bring it to market, small businesses looking for funding and investor opportunities plus those interested in being introduced to business and entrepreneurship from a skilled expert in the field.

Tonia is a Multidisciplinary Brand Marketing Graphic Designer based in Auckland who designs with a carefully considered blend of purpose and creativity.
Tonia started her graphic design business Crisp Graphics in 2003, rebranding to become Greenhouse Creative in 2020 to reflect the breadth of creative brand marketing, advisory, ecommerce and graphic design tasks she and her growing team deliver for her local and international clients. Over 20 years, she’s helped hundreds of local and international businesses to prosper at every stage of their business journey’s.
A seasoned entrepreneur, Tonia bootstrapped her organic skincare business Honest Skincare in 2015, selling it in 2018 as an established business with proven customer loyalty and ROI. She is currently in the process of bringing two new product-based business ideas to the market as well as mentoring other business owners with Business Mentors NZ and the Regional Business Partner Network / Auckland Business Chamber.
Recently, Tonia judged on a panel for the Young Enterprise Scheme pitch days and she taught a brand marketing workshop to female founders of the Rise Up 2023 seed-funding programme, prior to their pitch night, which culminated in the winner taking away $10,000 cash towards their startup idea as well as getting in front of potential investors.
Tonia is a house-plant obsessed brand marketing designer who is seriously passionate about helping businesses to grow.

Are at least 16 years old, and
Have basic computer skills and an interest in business
Hold NCEA Level 2 or equivalent evidence that they have the ability to succeed in the micro-credential
